‘Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway’ Review- Ghosts Still Haunt The UC

 Taken place in the Universal Century timeline, ‘Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway‘ is an anime film directed by Shuko Murase. It was produced by Sunrise and released in the United States through Netflix. It is the start of a new Gundam trilogy. In the year UC 105, twelve years after Neo Zeon War, the Earth is plagued by attacks from Mafty, a terrorist group trying to force humans from evacuating the Earth. A passenger vessel is hijacked from Mafty insurgents, but they are stopped by celebrated pilot Hathaway Noa (Caleb Yen) and Earth Federation military Captain Kenneth Sleg (Aaron Philips). They both pique the interest of a young woman on the trip Gigi Andalucia (Megan Shipman). She deduces that Noa is, in fact, the Mafty leader, which is why he stopped the hostage situation, they were not Mafty, but a splinter group. ‘Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown’ Review- A Clash Of Steel And Snow

 ‘Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown‘ is a 2020 dark fantasy anime film directed by Takaharu Ozaki. It was produced by the Japanese animation studio White Fox and was based on a script by Hideyuki Kurata. The music was done by Kenichiro Suehiro with Tabitha Ray serving as the English voice director. The Sword Maiden (Meg McClain) summons Goblin Slayer (Brad Hawkins) for a mission to save a Noble Fencer (Anairis Quinones), the daughter of a friend’s family. Goblin Slayer brings in his party including the young Priestess (Hayden Daviau), Lizard Warrior (Josh Bangle), Dwarf Shaman (Barry Yandell), and a High Elf Archer (Mallorie Rodak) to rescue her. As they search, they discover the goblins have massacred her family and have taken the family sword. The only reason for this, the goblins are planning to crown a Goblin King.  ‘Baburu‘ is a Japanese animated futuristic romantic film that is known as ‘Bubble‘ in English. The movie is directed by Tetsurō Araki and written by Gen Urobuchi for Wit Studio. It had its initial release at the Berlin International Film Festival and would make its way to North America on Netflix. Sometime in the future, strange bubbles fall from outer space, causing havoc on Earth, but soon Tokyo gets encased in a giant bubble dome and the bubbles seem to move there, flooding the city. With the city evacuated, it has become a haven for outsiders. Hibiki (Zach Aguilar) is on a parkour team called the Blue Blazes, competing for supplies in Tokyo. He has sensory overload and wears headphones to drown out the noise, except for a strange song he hears coming from Tokyo Tower.  ‘Donten Laughing Under the Clouds Gaiden‘ is a trilogy of television films directed by Tetsuya Wakano and produced by Wit Studios. They are all based on a historical fantasy manga by Karakara-Kemuri. ‘Chapter 1 – One Year After the Battle’ is set a year after a battle in which a group of warriors called the Yamainu defeated a giant evil serpent called Orochi where they lost friends and allies. Team member Tenka Kumō (Christopher Wehkamp) is left paralyzed after the battle and wants to travel the world. Captain Abe no Sōsei (Eric Vale) tells the rest of the team that the military is disbanding them and they all have to decide their own fates, but how do you decide after witnessing something so tragic? ‘Chapter 2 – The Tragedy of Fuuma Ninja Tribe’ takes place before Orochi’s arrival. ‘Fruits Basket: Prelude’ Review- Flawed, but Heartwarming

 Yoshihide Ibata directs ‘Fruits Basket: Prelude‘ a compilation film that features a prequel to popular anime series. The movie was produced by TMS Entertainment and distributed by Avex Pictures with Crunchyroll handling the English dubbed version. After a summation of the series, Kyoko (Miyuki Sawashiro) is a rebellious teen who is emotionally abused at home. After a violent outburst at junior high, she meets teaching assistant and intern Katsuya Honda (Yoshimasa Hosoya) who seems to understand her loneliness. This encounter changes her life and they grow closer. After graduating high school, she is beaten by her gang when she tells them she wants to leave to go to college, causing her to miss entrance exams. Her parents force her out, but Katsuya confesses his love for her and after meeting his “Pop” (Ken Uo), they get married and have a child Tohru (Manaka Iwami).
